YCF website header - Youth

As children grow and mature they need to be challenged with new experiences and thinking, and the groups we have for our young people do exactly that, at a level that's suited to them.

SOS
In S.O.S, our group for Years 6-9 at St Peter and St Paul, we join the Sunday morning service and then go to S.O.S. upstairs. We mix relevant Bible exploration with fun and games around thought provoking topics that will enable our young people to be the best followers of Christ they can be during the whole week.

This term (AUTUMN 2024) we are looking at the 10 commandments and we are also looking forward to our pop-up nativity on 15th Dec during our morning service!

Refresh 2

School years 10 - 13 can be a stressful time with exams, making decisions about the future and increasing social commitments. At Refresh we want to give our older young people time and space to be themselves while looking at how Christianity and the Bible can speak into their everyday experience. During the year we also have several social events to just be together while doing something fun.

We meet on Sunday evenings, 5-7pm at St Peter and St Paul for a meal and time exploring and engaging in discipleship together.

Mission: Kondoa - Youth Missions

As part of our mission partnership with the Diocese of Kondoa we are committed to sharing our physical and spiritual resources, including visiting our friends in Kondoa to join with them in their ongoing mission to reach the 90% Muslim population with the good news of the Gospel.

We've been visiting our friends since 2013, but in 2017 we pioneered a mission trip with 3 young people, and then in 2019 we returned again with 10 young people. We hope to once again be able to visit with another group of young people.
