YCF website header - Youth

As children grow and mature they need to be challenged with new experiences and thinking, and the groups we have for our young people do exactly that, at a level that's suited to them.

S.O.S.

In S.O.S. we mix relevant Bible exploration with fun & games around thought provoking topics that, we hope, will enable our young people to be the best followers of Christ they can be during the whole week.

S.O.S. is open to anyone in school years 6-9 and we meet during the normal morning services at St Peter & St Paul and St Philip.

You can download a copy of the syllabus we follow here (we're currently in Year 1) and if you'd like more info you can email us here.

Refresh

School years 10 - 13 can be a stressful time with exams, making decisions about the future and increasing social commitments. At Refresh we want to give our older young people space to do just that, providing them with time and space to be themselves while looking at how Christianity and the Bible can speak into their everyday experience. During the year we also have several social events to just be together while doing something fun.

We meet on Sunday evenings, 6:45-8:30pm at St Peter & St Paul for a meal and time exploring & engaging in discipleship together. This term we're going to be exploring some of the 'Big Questions' about faith, life and the Bible - you can find a term card here and you can contact the team for more info.

Mission:Kondoa - Youth Missions

As part of our mission partnership with the Diocese of Kondoa we are committed to sharing our physical & spiritual resources, including visiting our friends in Kondoa to join with them in their ongoing mission to reach the 90% Muslim population with the good news of the Gospel.

We've been visiting our friends since 2013, but in 2017 we pioneered a mission trip with 3 young people, and then in 2019 we returned again with 10 young people. We hope to once again be able to visit with another group of young people when the risks of coronavirus have been overcome, and if you want to keep up to date with news on this, as well as other news about our link, you can follow the Mission:Kondoa twitter account or email the organising team.

For a flavour of what the last trip was like you can look back on the Mission:Kondoa Instagram account.
